mageistsaaand here we are. one month into the deobi-and-proud life, and now that i have a solid list of ships, i can focus on how obsessed i am with sunnew. honestly, this is likely going to be less of a manifesto and more of a post doubling as me screaming for however many words, but if you read this i hope it's coherent! (once again grammar & punctuation? i don't know her xx)
first of all, i just want to express my awe at how lovely tbz rpf-dom is. like, for some reason when i attempted to get into them, i couldn't really imagine any of them in ships? i genuinely don't know what was wrong with me back then because honestly they are all so fucking gay for each other it impresses me. i believe the most popular ships on tbz ao3 (which is sorely lacking, like they have... so few fics, and it makes me want to bang my head against a wall) are kevin/jacob (by quite the margin lmao), juyeon/hyunjae, sunwoo/haknyeon and chanhee/changmin.
however they all interact with each other pretty well. txt's my other ult group, so going from a five-member group to an 11-member one was kind of mind-boggling. but i'm a former nctzen so the more members, the more strange pairings and random potentials you can come up with!
that's enough about tbz in general, though. let's focus on sunnew.
at first glance, sunnew genuinely seem like they don't fully get along. not in a we actually hate each other kind of way. i mean the kind of relationship where two personalities seem like they're about to click perfectly... but they don't quite get there, one way or another. which - i'll be real, my favorite kind of ships are the ones where you can actively tell they're adapting to each other somehow. that's sunnew, in my opinion.
imo, sunnew are pretty easy to characterize? if you've seen me talk about how similar chanhee and i are - i cannot stress enough how true it is, at least to me. chanhee's definitely the grumpy-caring type, whereas sunwoo is carefree, impulsive... and incredibly artistic. the result of them together makes for a really fun ship dynamic of them dragging each other into activities that the other doesn't necessarily enjoy but sits through just for the sake of #friendship.
they also both seem pretty acts of service lean, although sunwoo is definitely a words of affirmation kind of person. which, imo, hits chanhee in a spot he tries to keep shielded from others - a side that desperately wants to be vulnerable, but doesn't exactly know how to ask for it? and yet he's said that sunwoo only ever sees the best in him, which probably touches his heart. it's just so sweet to me man idk!

i couldn't have been more wrong, actually. after pulling up their synastry chart with sunwoo's confirmed scorpio rising, i kind of just sat there for a second, tilted my head to the side... and then i went "wow. this sucks actually?"
i don't mean this in a negative way. like, i sat there giggling like a maniac for ten minutes as i found disaster after disaster. for example, they have a frankly horrific t-square (a t-square is a geometrical shape in astrology, denoted by one opposition aspect and two square aspects to create an isosceles triangle): chanhee's neptune opposite sunwoo's leo moon, north node, & pallas square chanhee's taurus mars.

5. sunwoo's constant disrespect. the best thing? chanhee lets him get away with it, after screaming / threatening violence as per usual / scolding him. the context for this, by the way: chanhee made sunwoo drag their table of food out of the room because it was "too hot" in the room for him (sigh, chanhee and his pillow prince-isms), and sunwoo picked up the random umbrella on the ground... and then proceeded to choose chaos.
